LEFT: This is our cat Cleo. I've had cleo since she was old enough to leave her mother. She's 6 yrs. old. She's a Siamese mix. She's the Alpha pet of the house. CENTER: This is our newest critter, our baby of the family. His name is Zeus, and we got him from a shelter. His paper said he was American Cocker Spaniel, but we think (and our vet agrees with us) that he is mostly Dachshund. That's a good thing, cuz we like weiner dogs. We got him at around 8 weeks old. He got the flu about 2 days after we got him, and he had to spend 4 days in the hospital, but he's all better now, with waaay too much energy, and a whole lot of devil in him. RIGHT: This is our kitten, Butch. We rescued him. He was abandoned by his owner, then cared for temporarily by a good Samaritan. We got him when he was about 6-8 weeks old. Even though Cleo is the Alpha cat, Butch likes to challenge her on this whenever he can get away with it. Butch is a very special baby. Cleo has never taken up with any other cat, and it looked like this kitten was going to be no different, but after a rocky start, Cleo actually started playing with him!!! Photographed: 2003 |
