1810 - John Henderson, Jr. was born in Missouri to Elizabeth Wilson & John Henderson, Sr. of Jefferson County, Missouri

1812 - John Jr.'s brother, Amariah K. Henderson, was born in either Missouri or Louisianna

1815 - John Henderson Jr., his parents & siblings were residing either in the state of Mississippi or Arkansas where John Jr.'s sister, Elizabeth was born.

1821 - Mary Ann Henderson is born to Hopy Alexander & James Henderson, Jr.

1821 - John Henderson, Jr. & his parents, Elizabeth & John Henderson Sr. were residing in Ouachita Parish, state of Louisianna

1830 - John Henderson Jr., Samuel W., Amariah & Elizabeth were back in Missouri

1838 - John Henderson Jr. is appointed guardian of  his sister's minor children

1839 - John Henderson, Jr. & Mary Ann Henderson get married in St. Francois Co., Mo.

1840 - John & Mary Ann's son, George Washington Henderson is born

1842 - John Jr. & Mary Ann have another son: James Monroe Henderson

1842 - - John Henderson Jr. is named in a law suit over John Henderson Sr.'s (deceased) property on Little Rock Creek in Jefferson County, Missouri.   It is on file in the Ste. Genevieve Missouri Archives File #'s 494, 792.

1843 - John Jr. & Mary Ann have daughter Elizabeth

1847 - John Henderson, Jr. dies but before he died he purchased the property adjoining with that of his father-in-law and put it in the names of his children: George W., James M., and Elizabeth.  This indicates that John died before the birth of his fourth child, Almeda.  John Henderson purchased this property from Susan & William Allen 28 July 1847:  SE1/4 of NW1/4 SEC9 T34N R5E 40 acres.  However there is a mystery as there was also a Land Patent that says that this same property was patented to Thomas C. Allen 1 March 1848.  Cert. 10093

1847 - Mary Ann has daughter Almeda

1850 - Mary Ann & her children are living with her parents & what siblings were still at home:  James & Hopy, Samuel S., Corbin, Nancy, Elenor, Mary Ann, George, James, Elizabeth, Almeda. They are all living next door to a Nancy Alexander age 33, Mary Alexander age 41, Joseph age 9, Joseph A., ae 7, Gideon age 5, William age 2

1851 - Mary Ann Henderson Henderson marries Robert M. Markham

1852 - Mary Ann & Robert M. Markham have daughter M. Catherine

1855 - Jackson Markham is born

1855 - Probate proceedings start on John Henderson Jr.'s estate.   His children also inherit his share of his father's, John Henderson Sr., estate.

1856 - William Johnson Markham is born

1859 - Lucinda Markham is born

1860 - Mary Ann & John Henderson Jr.'s children are living with their grandparents James & Hopy in St. Francois County, Mo.  No others are listed in the household.

1863 - John Henderson Jr.'s estate is finalized.

1870 - Mary Ann & Robert M. Markham & their children plus an orphan boy that they took in are living in Greene County, Arkansas

1870 - Mary Ann & Robert are named in a dispute over some of the land that belonged to Mary Ann's father, James Henderson Jr.

Children of Mary Ann & John Henderson,Jr.:

George Washington - Born 1840 in Missouri.  Married Emaline Lawson in St. Francois County, Missouri in 1876.  George died in 1919 in Wayne County Missouri & is buried in Shook Cemetery there.

James Monroe - Born 1842 in Missouri.  Married Amanda (Mandy) E. Fong in 1863 in St. Francois County, Missouri.  Went to Illinois & was residing there in 1866.

Elizabeth - Born 1843 in Missouri.  She married Wm. C. Murray in 1864 in St. Francois County, Missouri.

Almeda - Born sometime after July 1847 in Missouri.

M.  Catherine - 1852

Jackson - b: 1855 - d: April, 1880, Typhoid Pneumonia, Fulton Co., Ark. - never married

William Johnson - born 6 May 1856 d:  3 June 1923     Doe Run Cem., St.FranCoMo

Lucinda - 1859

Robert Yates - 1853 - orphan child living with Mary Ann & Robert Markham in 1870.
