Arthur was the eighth child of Berdie Henderson & Guy Thomas Martin.  He was born 10 Feb. 1936 & died at 3:55 a.m. on 2 Oct. 1936 at the age of 7 months 21 days old in Farmington, St. Francois County, Missouri.  My mother told me once that when the people came to get him after he died they just heartlessly tossed him in the back seat of their car & drove off. Mom would have been almost ten years old at the time.  Arthur is buried in the "County Cemetery" in St. Francois Co.  No tombstone.

Grandma told me that Arthur died of "Summer Complaint" which is baby diarrhea usually caused by spoiled milk. The cause of death on his death certificate is difficult to read - one of the words seems to be colotis (probably should have been colitis).
