WASHINGTON COUNTY ICE STORM 2006 - November 30th southeast Missouri was hit with a devastating ice storm which paralyzed the area. Over 13,000 homes in Washington County & over 500,000 homes in southeast Missouri were without electricity (in some places for more than a week) with temperatures into the teens. The National Guard was called in to assist with relief efforts.
