Volunteers Volunteers are always needed & are very much appreciated. There are three kinds of volunteers: 1) Those who work directly with the animals clean pens, feeding, etc. They start at 7 am and work at least until 11. Most volunteers on this schedule work two or three days per week. 2) Those who work strictly on the store side, putting out merchandise, cleaning the store, hand clothing etc. They work from anytime after 8 to ? They can work as many days per week as they would like but we advise no more than two. It is easy to get burnt out if more days are worked. 3) Those who work on both sides. They generally help with the animals and when everything is done on that side of the building they come on the store side and help for a few hours. Our hours for volunteering are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. There is a form that has to be filled out and that is strictly for insurance purposes We welcome anyone that wants to help the animals but I must warn you that the work is not easy and if there are any physical limitations they should make sure that this will not harm them. There are no easy jobs no matter which side they work on but IT REALLY MAKES US FEEL GOOD WHEN WE GO HOME AND KNOW THAT WE HAVE HELPED SOME OF GODS CREATURE THAT CAN NOT HELP THEMSELVES.
