Meek) in Ward 11, St. Louis, Missouri 1902 - Ann, the mother of Alex, dies & the children are taken to their grandmother's, Orelia Michaud Horrocks. 1910 - Alexander is living with his grandparents, Samuel & Orelia Horrocks, in St. Louis, Missouri. He is listed as a shoe worker in a factory. 1920 - Alexander is a private at Camp Meade, Ann Arundel, Maryland 1930 - Alexander is listed as a private at the Fort Missoula Military Reservation at Cold Springs, Montana.
